Imaginations

Daddy asks, "Promise, why did you open the door?" This was after he had put them to bed and it was the 2nd time she was out of her room. Then answer, "I saw a black dot under the door." Daddy, "No there is no black dot." Promise, "I think it was a mosquito walking like a turtle." Smile.

That's how we are—find excuses for our actions, and then justify them. How many times have I done that? So many times. And yet, God's patience exceeds what I deserve. And sometimes we can almost make ourselves believe it is truth, or at least excusable.

We do better if we just are honest with our Heavenly Father. He knows our hearts anyway. Saves us the pain and guilt of it all.

God bless you
