The Way of a Child

Having 3 children in the house, serves to be interesting. "I want a cookie."  "Eat your dinner, then you can have a cookie." "But I'm not hungry."

"Grandma, Nate took my...."  "Grandma, Promise won't share."

We, as adults, often act as little children. We want God to give us what we want, even if it isn't good for us. We pray for things that would be to our destruction, yet get angry at God if He doesn't comply to our every whim and wish. We get angry when God blesses someone in a way that we think is way too good for them...on and on, we go acting as children.

Yet, God in His mercy continues His love toward us, teaching us to be more like Him. I was reading in Matthew this morning as Jesus answered questions or accusations. Some of his answers don't seem to really be the right answers. He really was not politically correct. But He was right. He knows the beginning from the end. Just as we know what is best for our children, and we expect them to obey and be alright with the decisions we make for them, we need to thank God for all that He chooses for us so that we can become more like Him.

Yes, even in earthquakes, tornadoes, loss of jobs, homes and persecution because of our choice to follow Him.

God is good and faithful. Today choose His way.

God bless you
