Cheering for Patrick

Patrick was off the ventilator for a few minutes, and even spoke a few words with the nurse. But he was unable to continuing breathing on his own without an occasional boost from the ventilator. Tomorrow they will try again, he is making progress!! You go, Patrick!!
Barb is progressing as well. Infection is ruled out at this point. The doctor is pleased with the wound site.
We are continually amazed at the opportunities God has given us to share His story with doctors, nurses, and myriads of other hospital staff.
God is so faithful which is expressed in many ways every day. Pray, pray that tomorrow Patrick will have strength to breathe on his own and be rid of the ventilator.

Thank you so much for keeping us posted! I am so blessed to know that our friends are making progress. Please let them know that the Calvary Chapel in Largo, Md. loves them and is praying for them. Tell them their old haitian friend Marjorie is rooting for them on her knees!

Oh my, finally we were able to find an ongoing website with updates of Pat and Barb. What joy this brings. My family and I got a chance to meet them in Largo, MD as well. We fell in love with them as well as our kids. Please let them know that Deshawn and Keneshia VanCleave and their kids are praying for them. You all have great parents!!!!

Dear Patrick and Barb,
Carol, Daniel, Catrina, and I (Joel) have been out in the very rural northeast of Costa Rica without any means of communication. Kendra has kept us informed as to your situation and that of all those in Haiti. We are praying for you daily as are all those we have contact with here. I am in Puerto Viejo de Sarapiqui for a couple of days. We as a family will be in town for a couple of days 8 - 10 Feb and will have access to Skype at that time. Would it be possible to call you? If so, please send us your numbers. Our email is joelhawley@cten.org.
In Jesus' love and with ours,
Joel for Carol Hawley and our tribe
